Plastic pollution poses a significant and growing threat to marine ecosystems, wildlife, and human health, necessitating a substantial increase in both the scale and effectiveness of our response. Recent reports have highlighted a funding gap of over $5.2 trillion required to build infrastructure and scale solutions in order to combat plastic pollution.

In light of this, there is a need to support and deploy innovative financial mechanisms that can significantly amplify resources available to combat plastic pollution and ensure that resources mobilized are creating tangible impacts.

The event aims to provide valuable insights and experience on various innovative financing mechanisms for scaling solutions to combat plastic pollution. Speakers will share their perspectives from public and private sector and from the government, international financial institution, investor and innovator’s standpoint.
